Furry Trees is a new collective made up of musicians/producers/composers:

Ciaran Meister (aka Mangetout)
Kieran “Sherry” Sheridan (aka Pink Letter)
Sam Kay (aka SKPSM)

The collective began as a lockdown project in 2020 with the three members working remotely in their home studios. Each track on the ‘Two Shapes Shaded In Green Fields’ EP was built incrementally, with each member providing initial musical ideas (found sounds, guitar lines etc) and adding parts to the other’s ideas in isolation until each track was fully developed. Aside from a limit of 2 musical parts per artist per pass, and no samples, no creative restrictions were imposed. Any instrument, vocal, or production technique could be added based on the direction each artist wanted to take based on their interpretation of the other’s material.

Vocal parts, bass-lines, synth parts, effects and experimental production techniques were layered up to create the tracks here, which demonstrate crossover into new ground from the more established styles of each artist.

The ‘Two Shapes Shaded In Green Fields’ EP will be released on very limited edition cassette and digital via Bandcamp on the Evenings & Weekends label, as well as on all major streaming platforms from 12th September 2023.
